EFEK PEMBERIAN EKSTRAK DAUN TABAT BARITO (Ficus Deltoidea) TERHADAP HITUNG JENIS LEUKOSIT PADA TIKUS PUTIH (Rattus Norvegicus) ALERGI YANG DIINDUKSI OVALBUMIN
Abstract
Allergic diseases have increased rapidly in various developed and developing countries in the world. An increase in the number of leukocytes and the discovery of deformities and immature cells are markers of allergy. Methylrednisolone is used as an allergy medication because it inhibits excess cytokines from the immune response. Tabat barito leaves contain flavonoids which act as anti-inflammatory. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of tabat barito leaf extract on leukocyte count in allergic white rats induced by vvalbumin.
The type of research used was an experiment using the posttest only group design method, using experimental animals 24 male white rats divided into 4 groups: control white rats, allergic white rats, allergic white rats with tabat barito leaf extract and allergic white rats with methylprednisolone, seen by the count. types of leukocytes in the four groups. Data were analyzed univariately to determine the type of leukocyte count with and without tabat barito leaf extract and methylprednisolone.
In each treatment group of white rats, the results of the leukocyte count were within normal limits. It can be concluded that the results in each treatment group were still within normal limits and the barito tabat extract had no effect on white rats.
